The Shoppes at Zion

As families prepare for a new school year, The Shoppes at Zion is making it easy for the community to give back in a meaningful way. Throughout the month of August, shoppers are invited to participate in the 2nd Annual Give Back with a Snack donation drive, helping provide individually packaged snacks for students throughout the Washington County School District.

The Washington County School District serves more than 33,000 students across 50 schools, and for many children, having access to a healthy snack during the school day can make a significant difference. While many students receive breakfast and lunch at school, others may miss meals for a variety of reasons. Hunger can make it difficult to concentrate, participate in class, and learn effectively. That’s why individually packaged snacks are such an important resource—they help students refuel, stay focused, and succeed in the classroom.

“The Shoppes at Zion is excited for our 2nd annual Give Back With a Snack drive to help support the children of our community,” Rebecca Pendleton Turpin, General Manager for The Shoppes at Zion said. “With the Washington County school district serving so many students this is just a small way we can help give back.”

How You Can Help

From August 1 through August 31, visitors to The Shoppes at Zion can donate individually packaged snacks at participating businesses. The goal is to collect enough donations to fill 300 snack boxes for children in the Washington County School District.

Snack donations can be dropped off at any of these participating businesses:

  • Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory
  • Social District Boutique & Bistro
  • Red Rock Spas
  • Slice House Pizza
  • Berries ‘N Cream
  • Fr3nzy

Whether you’re stopping by for lunch, shopping with family, or enjoying one of the many local businesses at The Shoppes at Zion, consider picking up a few extra snacks to donate during your visit.

Small Donations Make a Big Impact

A single box of individually packaged snacks may seem like a small contribution, but together, our community can help ensure hundreds of local students have the nourishment they need to stay energized throughout the school day. Every donation brings us one step closer to reaching our goal of filling 300 snack boxes.
